The Fontán Building in the Cidade da Cultura is the architectural project that completes the Gaiás complex and addresses a double need for Galicia. On one hand, it fosters the integration of the three public Galician universities by housing services that support all campuses in the autonomous region. On the other hand, it houses a national reference center in heritage studies research (CISPAC), as well as a specialized observatory dedicated to landscapes and cultural routes, with particular emphasis on the Camiño de Santiago.
