We are pleased to announce that ISLE will be offering 10 bursaries for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to participate in the ISLE8 Conference which will be held at the University of Santiago de Compostela, September 1-4, 2025.
The bursaries consist of a lump sum of 300€ per applicant which can be used to partly cover travel and accommodation expenses. The registration fee will also be waived (the fee includes conference pack, social programme, lunches, coffee breaks and transfer to venue). Beneficiaries of the bursaries will be invited to the gala dinner.
Although bursary holders have to make their own accommodation arrangements, the ISLE8 Organizing Committee has provisionally booked 10 rooms at one of the USC halls of residence at budget prices.
The conference bursaries are open to ECRs presenting research papers at the conference (in the general session, the workshops or the poster session). ECRs are defined here as PhD students or individuals who have been awarded their PhD within the last two years. Please note that priority will be given to ECRs who have no travel funds available to support their attendance via their scholarship or funding grant.
Applications for bursaries will open on 20 January 2025 at 00:00 CET and close on 10 March 2025 at 23:59 CET. Applicants are required to fill in an online form (link below). Applications will be reviewed and awarded by the ISLE Executive Committee. The outcome of applications will be announced by 7 April 2025.
